Meta’s $47.5B Quarter Proves AI Investments are Finally Paying Off
Mark Zuckerberg just made his boldest AI bet yet (and Wall Street is all in). The Meta CEO unveiled his vision for "personal superintelligence" just hours before the company dropped blockbuster earnings that sent shares up over 9% in after-hours trading. With Meta burning billions on AI talent raids and infrastructure, investors are finally seeing the payoff.
The timing wasn't accidental. Zuckerberg released his superintelligence manifesto on the same day Meta posted earnings of $7.14 per share on $47.5 billion in revenue, crushing Wall Street expectations by more than 20%…
What’s driving Meta's AI momentum:
Meta assembled a new lab headed by Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang, with hiring packages reportedly reaching $100 million for top researchers from OpenAI, Google DeepMind, and Anthropic.
Meta explicitly credited AI improvements to its core ad business for the quarter's strong performance, with the company saying AI is becoming "a real revenue driver, not just hype."
Despite massive AI spending, Meta kept capital expenditures at $17 billion, roughly in line with Wall Street estimates, while projecting $47.5-50.5 billion in Q3 revenue.
Zuckerberg believes smart glasses will be humanity's "primary computing devices" in the AI era. Forget smartphones, Mark wants to strap superintelligence directly to your eyeballs.
So What?
Zuckerberg is positioning Meta as the democratizing force in AI—promising "personal superintelligence" for everyone instead of centralized AI that "automates all valuable work." This populist approach contrasts sharply with OpenAI's Sam Altman, who has publicly discussed AI replacing jobs and potentially requiring universal basic income.
The strategy appears to be working. Meta's stock has climbed 16% this year as investors bet that the company's massive AI investments will pay off. With "developing superintelligence now in sight," according to Zuckerberg, we're about to find out if this AI arms race was worth the billions.

How to Build Your Own AI Development Team with Claude Code Subagents

Setting up subagents 😏
Claude Code just got a major upgrade with specialized subagents that can handle specific tasks like debugging, code reviews, and data analysis. Think of them as having a team of expert AI assistants ready to tackle different parts of your development workflow (Note: Claude Code only runs natively on Mac right now, for a Windows configuration check this out).
Here's how to set up and configure Claude Code subagents:
1. Open up a Terminal, update Claude Code First
Make sure you're running the latest version:
npm update -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code
# or
claude update
2. Access the Subagents Interface
Launch the subagents manager:
/agents
This opens an interactive menu where you can create, edit, or delete subagents.
3. Create Your First Sub Agent
Select Create New Agent and choose between project-level or user-level agents. The interface lets you:
Generate agents with Claude's help (recommended for beginners)
Select specific tools each agent can access
Edit system prompts in your preferred editor
4. Configure Popular Sub Agent Types
Here are three subagents to create:
Code Reviewer Agent: Automatically reviews your commits for security issues, performance problems, and code quality. Set it to run proactively after any code changes.
Debugger Agent: Specializes in root cause analysis and fixing errors. Perfect for test failures and unexpected behavior.
Data Scientist Agent: Handles SQL queries, BigQuery operations, and data analysis tasks with optimized query writing.
🔥 Power User Tip: Subagents work best when you give them focused responsibilities. Instead of one "do everything" agent, create specific agents for debugging, testing, code review, and deployment tasks.
The beauty of subagents is they maintain separate context windows, so your main conversation stays clean while specialized agents handle complex tasks independently. Once set up, Claude Code will automatically delegate appropriate tasks to the right sub agent, or you can explicitly call them when needed.

ChatGPT Study Mode Will Actually Make You Smarter Instead of Lazier
OpenAI just launched Study Mode in ChatGPT, designed to help you actually learn instead of just getting quick answers. It's rolling out to Free, Plus, Pro, and Team users now, with ChatGPT Edu coming in the next few weeks.
Here's how to use Study Mode:
1. Activate Study Mode
In ChatGPT, select "Study and Learn" from the tools menu, then ask your question. The interface will switch to a more interactive, educational approach.
2. What Makes Study Mode Different
Instead of giving direct answers, Study Mode:
Asks guiding questions to test your understanding
Breaks down complex topics into digestible sections
Provides personalized hints based on your skill level
Includes knowledge checks and quizzes to reinforce learning
3. Best Use Cases
Homework Help: Study Mode will walk you through the steps and ask you to explain your reasoning.
Test Prep: The system creates practice questions and provides feedback on your answers, helping identify knowledge gaps.
Learning New Concepts: Complex topics get broken down with interactive prompts that build understanding progressively.
