When Apple Calls Google For Help

Apple looks to be making a move that would've been unthinkable five years ago.

The company that prides itself on independence is reportedly turning to Google—its biggest search rival—to power Siri's upcoming AI makeover.

According to Bloomberg, Apple and Google reached a formal agreement this week to test a custom Gemini model for Siri's new "World Knowledge Answers" feature. It's like watching two chess masters reluctantly shake hands mid-game...

Here's what's coming to Siri:

  • AI-powered web search summaries using Google's Gemini running on Apple's servers, challenging OpenAI and Perplexity's dominance in AI search.

  • Multimodal interface integration that combines text, photos, videos, and local points of interest for comprehensive answers.

  • Personal data integration allowing Siri to tap into your device information while maintaining Apple's privacy standards.

So What?

Apple's delayed Siri upgrade (pushed to iOS 26.4 in March 2026) shows how far behind they've fallen in the AI race. By partnering with Google instead of going solo, Apple's essentially admitting that building competitive AI search from scratch would take too long.

This could mark a fundamental shift in Apple's strategy—from "we build everything ourselves" to "we partner strategically to win."

The irony? Apple might end up making Google even stronger in AI while trying to catch up…

Anthropic Just Broke The Funding Internet

Anthropic just secured the biggest funding round in AI history, and the numbers are mind-blowing. The company raised $13 billion in Series F funding at a $183 billion post-money valuation, led by ICONIQ Capital with Fidelity and Lightspeed co-leading.

For context, this nearly triples Anthropic's valuation from just six months ago when it was valued at $61.5 billion in March. That's the kind of growth that makes Silicon Valley legends...

  • Revenue acceleration from $1 billion to over $5 billion run-rate in just eight months, making it one of the fastest-growing tech companies ever.

  • Enterprise customer surge with 300,000+ business customers and large accounts (over $100k each) growing 7x in the past year.

  • Claude Code generating $500 million in run-rate revenue with 10x usage growth in three months since launch.

So What?

Anthropic's $183 billion valuation puts it as the fourth-most valuable private company globally and second only to OpenAI in the AI space. This funding war isn't just about building better models—it's about who can afford the massive compute costs to stay competitive.

With $33.7 billion raised since 2021, Anthropic is betting that superior safety research and enterprise focus will differentiate it from OpenAI's consumer-first approach.

Turn Any Two Images Into Smooth Video

So we saw Nano Banana come out in Gemini last week, and believe us, it’s literally sweeping the web. We can now generate and manipulate any image PLUS we can pop them into Kling AI to create a full video with specific start and end frames.

Here’s how:

  1. Take any original image. Ask Gemini to slightly change it (for example, ask it to transform a room into an isometric view).

  2. Now you have two images. Import both images into Kling’s Image to Video tool with Frames. Set one image image as your start frame and the second as your end frame.

  3. The AI video generator will create the smooth transition between them (Note: You need to use the new Kling 2.1 model which will cost 35 credits).

  4. You'll have a professional-looking video that smoothly morphs between your two scenes, perfect for showing transformations or comparisons!
