Amazon’s AI-Powered Video Recaps

Amazon just rolled out something that might sound familiar if you've ever binged a series and forgotten what happened last season. They're calling it Video Recaps, and it's basically AI-generated "Previously On..." segments for your favorite Prime shows.

The streaming giant is using generative AI to create comprehensive season summaries that actually include video snippets, synchronized narration, dialogue clips, and music. Think of it as getting a theatrical-quality recap made just for you, without having to hunt down those "everything you need to know" YouTube videos…

  • Video Recaps are now live in beta for select English-language Prime originals like Fallout, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Upload, Bosch, and The Rig on connected TV devices.

  • The AI analyzes entire seasons to identify key plot points and character arcs, then finds the most compelling video clips and pairs them with audio effects, dialogue snippets, and AI-generated voiceover narration.

  • This builds on Prime's X-Ray Recaps feature from last year, which offered text summaries. Now they're adding sight, sound, and motion to the mix.

So What?

Amazon's betting that AI can solve one of streaming's most annoying problems: the "wait, who's that character again?" moment when a new season drops after a year-long gap.

While the feature is currently limited to a handful of shows on select devices, it's the kind of quality-of-life upgrade that could become table stakes across all streaming platforms. If it works well, expect Netflix, Disney+, and everyone else to follow suit faster than you can say "spoiler-free recap."

Google Gemini 3 Is Finally Here

Google just dropped Gemini 3, and they're calling it their most intelligent model yet. After months of Gemini 2.5 Pro sitting at the top of LMArena, they're pushing the reasoning bar even higher with what might be their boldest AI release to date.

Gemini 3 Pro isn't just incrementally better, it's scoring 1501 Elo on LMArena and achieving 91.9% on GPQA Diamond (a benchmark testing PhD-level reasoning).

The model now demonstrates unprecedented depth in understanding context and intent, essentially reading the room instead of just reading text.

What's new with Gemini 3:

  • Gemini 3 Pro is available now across the Gemini app, AI Mode in Search, AI Studio, Vertex AI, and the new Google Antigravity development platform. You can start using it immediately for everything from coding to complex problem-solving.

  • Gemini 3 Deep Think mode is coming soon for Google AI Ultra subscribers, offering even more advanced reasoning for the most complex tasks. This enhanced mode scores 41% on Humanity's Last Exam without tools and 93.8% on GPQA Diamond.

  • The model excels at multimodal reasoning with 81% on MMMU-Pro and 87.6% on Video-MMMU, meaning it can handle complex problems across text, images, video, and code with remarkable accuracy.

So What?

By launching Gemini 3 simultaneously in Search (a first for Google), the Gemini app, and developer tools, they're ensuring their most capable model reaches the widest audience from day one.

You can start using it by:

  1. Logging onto Gemini.

  2. Prompting it and toggling on Thinking!

Generate Instagram Captions with AI (That Don’t Sound Robotic)

Want captions that actually sound like you? ChatGPT can help you write Instagram captions that feel authentic and engaging, not like they came from an AI template factory.

Here's how to make it work:

  1. Grab your photo and get context ready. Take the photo you're posting and think about the story behind it. What was happening? What mood are you trying to capture?

  2. Open ChatGPT and upload your image. This gives the AI visual context to work with.

  3. Use this prompt to get great results:

Analyze this image and help me write an Instagram caption that's [your desired tone: casual/professional/witty/inspirational].

The caption should:

1) Connect with what's actually happening in the photo, 2) Match my voice (describe your typical style),
3) Be around [length] words,
4) Include a subtle call-to-action that feels natural.

Don't use excessive emojis or generic hashtags.

🔥 Power User Tip: After ChatGPT generates options, ask it to revise based on your feedback. Say things like "make it more conversational" or "dial back the enthusiasm" until it sounds exactly like you. The more specific you are about your voice, the better the results.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, we thought it would be a great idea to create a festive image (that you can actually brag about at the table).

Skip the generic "turkey and pumpkins" prompt and try this with your favorite AI-image generator:

Create a warm, intimate Thanksgiving scene captured from above showing a rustic wooden table with autumn sunlight streaming through a window. Include scattered maple leaves in deep orange and burgundy, a weathered ceramic plate with artisan bread, a vintage brass candleholder with a flickering candle, and handwritten place cards.

Style: Cinematic photography with golden hour lighting, shallow depth of field, rich warm tones, film grain texture. Focus on creating cozy, authentic moments rather than posed perfection.
